Some time has passed since my last post. Why has it been so long, you ask? Well, I was waiting to have something to report. We were finally able to take a step forward toward our ISV Partner agreement – but it wasn’t without some creativity.
Things are really starting to move along! We had our initial Tech Review today with one of the Salesforce architects. It was an hour long, but we got way more than an hour’s worth of feedback and reaction to our proposed solution. The goal of the Tech Review is to give the architect a chance to validate our approach and prepare a technical summary to accompany the business qualification paperwork we submitted yesterday. Did I mention how helpful and responsive our Account Exec has been now that we are on the path? One day turnaround – now we’re talking Agile speed.
Well, we signed up for the ISV Program, and got tons of auto-emails about resources available to us. The Partner Portal turns out to have links and tutorials and everything you’ll need — except how to get your ISV Agreement signed. After waiting a week or so, we tried logging a Case to get our CRM org (we figured, heck, maybe we “signed it” and didn’t even notice). Nope. The Case got auto-closed because the “CRM org is only for signed partners”. The good news? Our ISV Account Exec name and email address were included in the Case comments.
